The book: The Bible

Today's entry: Songs 1

Bible starting to kind of getting a little spicy:

The opening chapter of the Song of Songs, a book of romantic poetry. This chapter establishes the passionate voices of the two lovers—a young woman (often called the Shulamite) and her beloved (identified as King Solomon)—exchanging deep expressions of physical and emotional desire.

Today's film: Distilled Love (1920)

Another short of Hardy playing the heel. This girl finds innocent love, this chucklehead (thank you, Moe Howard for the vernacular) with a donkey. Heel Hardy comes along and courts her. Heel Hardy's wife runs in with their baby ad shoves it into the girl's arms and calls the baby her problem now since she's now seemingly with Heel Hardy. The girl is basically left alone in the world with the baby but ends up with a happy ending as she bumps into her OG bf with his donkey in tow and they ride off into the horizon.

However, tonight I watched another installment in Kristian Harloff's journey of introducing his non-Star Wars fan friend, Sam, into the franchise by way of Andor. This time they watched the first three episodes of season two and it does start off a tad rocky and slow. However, I do totally get the intended metaphor they were going for with the knuckleheads on the jungle plan.....oh shit! I forgot that was Yavin 4!

But anyway, I get that the feuding chowderheads in the jungles are a metaphor of what can happen when groups like the rebel cells can't work together.

Despite Sam digging season one, the first two episodes lost her (they lost Kristian too when he first watched them. Me, I was impatient too and wanted to get the story going but I was always going to stick around). However, episode three won her back and now the show is up, up and away from here. 

FRIDAY

VINTAGE VIDEO GAME NIGHT

No M.U.S.H.A. tonight as I was out for most of the day and the game hasn't earned my respect enough for me to cram it in tonight.

I was about to skip Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom but ultimately snuck in a little session. Head to Landen via passageway. I (Sean in-game) went to Landen Castle to speak with Queen Sari (the former powerhouse of my pre-Sean team). She says that I must find Laya's treasure to stop the war, but the only way to do that is to get an ancient machine from a cave in Elysium. I altered some techniques and rested up at the Yaata Inn before calling it a session. A brief session indeed.

 VINTAGE VIDEO GAME NIGHT

Time is a luxury tonight but I'm always sick of having to skip or miss out on things just because I go out and have a sliver of a life for a moment. (The World Cup is happening and the Tartan Army (Scotland) have taken over New England and they've been awesome. However, since I'm not dialed into sports like a regular human being, I'm only just finding out so I ventured out on my errands to see if I can find some jolly Scots.

I wanted to be a part of their tavernous merryment but it was simply not to be. However, my fiance and me did meet two lovely Scottish ladies while waiting in a long line for a bar in Providence. PLEASE COME BACK, SCOTS!

Anyway, I booted up Monster Hunter World and went into the training area to re-remember my combos and techniques as a long sword player (the lowest form of scummery according to Mighty Keef). I shouldn't be knocking off rust at this stage in the endgame of MHW especially if I dare step foot into Iceborne. 

PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING/PRO WRESTLING GAMING

WWE 2K26

In 2K25 I unlocked the free weekly pack and got a pink diamond Elite Jade Cargill persona that I didn't have. I had the persona but not the card. However, at this stage of the game, nothing matters in 2K25 unless it's My Time Triple H or bald CM Punk.

Played a live event where I had to beat Borderlands CM Punk with AAA La Parka in an arena brawl for a measly 3K MFP. Also played a World Tour Atlanta match with my ruby Io Shirai card against Trish Stratus. 

 WWE 2K20 UNIVERSE MODE

(Going through what would've been 2K21's Universe calendar) 

A special edition of WWE Main Event with two of the usual matches on top of two bonus matches featuring the semi-finals of the 2019 King of the Ring. Baron Corbin defeated Samoa Joe in their KOTR match as King Corbin is one step closer to becoming a reality in my Universe Mode.
