TIMELINE OF THE WORLD/LITERATURE
The book: The Bible
Today's entry: Songs 2
These two love birds need to settle down.NEXT UP: Songs 3
GOING THROUGH THE YEARS OF FILM/EARLY 20th CENTURY WORLD EVENTS
Today's film: Nothin'
I nixed watching The Decorator as well as the other Hardy shorts on my list. I haven't been pleased with my progress as I feel like I've been stuck in 1918-1920 for forever. The Hardy and Laurel solo shorts weren't doing much for me other than just looking through the lens of the late 1910s. So I think I'm going to play it like real life. If a movie simply looks good or is notable enough then I'll check it out while calling possible audibles here and there along the way. Hopefully this will make things move at a more preferable pace for me.
NEXT UP: Stolen Moments (1920)(The final movie on my 1920 list)
DRAGON BALL Z
NEXT EPISODE: Goku's Special Technique
STAR WARS
NEXT UP: The High Republic: Into The Dark
SUPER MARIO SATURDAY
Over the years one of my funnest (and funniest) passtimes has been watching Dashie play Super Mario Maker. Now that I own a Nintendo Switch, one of the very first games I bought was Mario Maker 2. When I was divvying up the games I was playing for specific days (like a TV show that airs new episodes weekly), it made sense to put Mario on Saturday. I thought it'd be cool to go through hell to beat a level or two and then blow off some built up tension by watching Dashie play those very same levels. However, I didn't have enough time to fire it up today.
PHANTASY STAR III: GENERATIONS OF DOOM
I left Yaata were I had stayed in yesterday and I headed west across a bridge to what I was told would be Satera but I didn't see anything. It was apparently destroyed by Lune. I went through a cave to reach Elysium and then I headed to the town of Divisia. However, on my way there I kept running into monsters that would leave my party poisoned. It was quite staggering. nevertheless, I ended today's session by resting up at a Northern Divisia inn.
RED DEAD REDEMPTION II NIGHT
Completed the Jeremy Gill mission "A Fisher of Fish - II" which was amusing. I'm kind of glad I've savored this game the way that I have (still on my first playthrough but likely near the end as John).
I then went back to Saint Denis, slept til night time and set out for the swamps in search of ghosty McGee. The night was wet, foggy and dreary so the stars were alignment for her to make an appearance and sure enough she did. Shit is still creepy AF. She was either dressing down the lover that jilted her or just talking shit about him to herself saying stuff like she thought he was a gentleman but he's just hillbilly white trash like momma said. This didn't really feel like the culmination of these little visitations so I will continue these midnight searches as creepy as they are.
PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING/PRO WRESTLING GAMING
WWE 2K26
Spent some VC to buy these new Art of War deluxe packs to do accompanying live events. I scored an Art of War sapphire Carmelo Hayes on my first rip. Since I needed TWO set cards for the apex tier rewards live event, I ripped a second pack and got an amethyst Rhea Ripley '17 persona (a new addition to my collection in this game) as well as an emerald Trish manager.
I then did all of the apex tier matches and got a sapphire Flammer from the set.
Played a live event where I had to beat Borderlands CM Punk with AAA La Parka in an arena brawl for a measly 3K MFP. Also played a World Tour Atlanta match with my ruby Io Shirai card against Trish Stratus.
WWE 2K20 UNIVERSE MODE
(Going through what would've been 2K21's Universe calendar)
It was a Fire Pro night as I got in some Stardom 5Star Gran Prix 2019 matches, two matches from the NJPW Young Lions Cup and a Fire Promoter card with Grenade Pro Wrestling. "Gentle Giant" Kurt Kidman beats Jamie Wilson in their rubber match to retain the belt.
