June 1, 2026: Hades or Ron Cena
The book: The freakin' bible
Today's entry: Proverbs 21
Solomon’s wisdom continues, focusing on divine sovereignty, inner integrity, work ethic, and social justice. Good folk do things one way, bad folks tend to do things the other way. Some Marlo Stanfield ish.
GOING THROUGH THE YEARS OF FILM/EARLY 20th CENTURY WORLD EVENTS
Today's film: Bright and Early (1918)
The plot: The hotel proprietor (Hardy) and his accomplice attempt to rob hotel guests, leading to misunderstandings and a rush to find a minister when the father suspects his daughter has been compromised by the bellhop.
It was a fascinating watch. No chuckles out of me but endearing nontheless.
TOMORROW'S ENTRY: Playmates (1918)
DRAGON BALL Z
NEXT EPISODE: Another Super Saiyan?
STAR WARS
YOUNG JEDI ADVENTURES
My slog through the YJA continues. It's not bad. It's actually a wonderful kids show. It's just that I'm itching for stuff more up my alley. Maybe if I repeat some Qui-Gon words of wisdom to myself. Don't center on my anxieties and keep my concentration here and now where it belongs. I should be mindful (aka hyped) for the future but not at the expense of the moment.
I was wrong yesterday about what today's episodes were gonna be. Today's first episode is Stuck in the Muck where the younglings (namely Kai Brightstar. Seemingly an offshoot of the Starkiller/Skywalker/Sunrider surname if there ever was one) rush into action to answer a distress call. They assume that the pirates they locate are stealing some loot. But it turns out that the pirates were the ones that sent out the call. Just as Count Dooku predicted. Don't rush into action, kids. Think before you act. Come on, Kai, you're smarter than this!
The next episode was Junkyard Sleepover where some paranormal activity seems to be keeping the chadra-fan junkyard owner from sleeping. (Marlaa Jinara. Had to look her up. Her voice actress has to be the same person who voiced Susie in Rugrats). Her ghost is clearly just a little droid draped in a sheet, which eventually, of course, it was. The lesson? Your ghosts are probably stuff inside or around your house making that funky noise. Just as that TV show Ghost Hunters predicted.
Today's episode was: Stuck in the Muck/Junkyard Sleepover
TOMORROW'S EPISODE IS: The Great Leaf Glide/The Harvest Feast
VIDEO GAMING
KINGDOM HEARTS NIGHT
Took me about three tries but I finally locked the fuck in and got it done. I beat the Hades Cup. I whooped Hades as well as his rock titan buddy after him. But did I get anything? Okay, maybe I did pop a PS trophy but what I took home with me was the news that now there are TWO available options to pick under the Hades Cup that are apparently two respective optional bosses. I wonder how their difficulty compares to the Hades Cup. Maybe I'm simply out of my depth there.THE ELDER SCROLLS: DAGGERFALL (as played through by BluScreen_Gwen on YouTube)
On the latest episode, she was trying to figure out a way to get kicked out of the mages guild that she joined while also going through the math of crafting new spells and their respective costs. Shit made my head spin something fierce. The second my brain sees math, it checks out like Grandpa Simpson at the burlesque house and I'm trying to break out of that cycle.
PHANTASY STAR III: GENERATIONS OF DOOM
I also snuck in some PS3 even though it's not Vintage Video Game Night Friday. I returned to Aridia from Aquatica and have noticed all of the cyborg enemies that have popped up. They hit harder and are tougher to beat. I found out that Ayn's family has been routed to the Western Caves. I find Lyle in the cave alongside Ayn's parents and he says the cyborgs have kidnapped his daughter, Thea. He gives Ayn the Dragon's Tear, which opens the passage to Draconia to the east and they say that Lyle has been weakened and is not expected to live much longer. I headed to Hazatak and ended the session.
PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING/PRO WRESTLING GAMING
It's the first of the month so I knocked out a lot of new MyFaction stuff from 2K26 and 2K25. For 2K25, I beat the weekly towers to unlock the mysterious and elusive Undertaker '20 persona card. I also got enough MFP dupe from the live events to grab the cards needed for that "Elite" Liv Morgan persona card which was the last attainable persona card I needed to get, thus bringing my time with MyFaction 2K25 to an end. That is, unless they release the bald CM Punk persona and the Triple H (My Time) persona like they just did with Undertaker '20.
Also, I hope that whoever was responsible for that bronze card vs Infinite Ron Cena live event gets served all of his cola piping hot for the rest of his life.
